Objective:
The Madagascar Vanilla Company needed a full visual identity to support the launch of their premium vanilla product line. This included a new logo, packaging system, and promotional literature that would position the brand as natural, authentic, and high-end—while reflecting its geographic and cultural roots.

Process:
The branding process began with research into Madagascar’s visual heritage, the vanilla industry, and competitor packaging. From there, I developed a logo that blended custom illustration and font manipulation to create a look that felt artisanal yet polished. The logo incorporated organic, hand-drawn elements to reflect the brand’s natural sourcing and craftsmanship.

Packaging design was focused on creating shelf appeal and clarity. I created custom illustrations and chose a warm, earthy palette that aligned with the brand’s story. Label layouts were designed for scalability across product variations, and materials were selected to reflect sustainability values.

I also created promotional literature to support sales and in-store placement. These materials maintained brand consistency while allowing for rich storytelling about the sourcing and quality of the product.

Outcome:
The result was a cohesive brand identity that stood out in a competitive market. The client reported strong early interest from retailers, and the packaging helped clearly communicate the brand’s premium positioning and origin story. The logo and literature have since been extended into digital and social content.

Reflection:
This project allowed me to combine illustration and design strategy in a meaningful way. It reinforced how hand-crafted visuals can elevate brand perception and connect emotionally with an audience—especially when paired with authentic storytelling.
