Role: Graphic Designer
Tools Used: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
Timeline: [Insert date range, e.g., Winter 2024]
Team: Reinos Creative Team, Client Stakeholders
Objective:
Community Partnership School approached Reinos to design a commemorative annual report in celebration of their 10-year anniversary. The piece needed to reflect the importance of the milestone while staying true to the school’s established brand guidelines—and still feel joyful, approachable, and full of life, as it was created for a school community.
Process:
Working within the brand’s strict visual parameters, I explored ways to bring playfulness and energy into the layout through color accents, illustration elements, and smart use of typography. The key was finding a visual balance between professional polish and youthful warmth.
I designed page layouts that were clean and easy to navigate, while subtly weaving in celebratory touches—like timeline graphics, photo-forward spreads, and engaging pull quotes from the school community. All design decisions were carefully vetted to maintain brand integrity while injecting personality.
Outcome:
The final annual report successfully honored the school’s 10-year legacy in a way that felt vibrant and meaningful. It struck the perfect tone for donors, staff, and families—respecting the institution while celebrating its joyful spirit. The client was thrilled with the balance of formality and fun, and the piece was well received by the broader school community.
Reflection:
This project was a great reminder that creativity can thrive within constraints. Working within a tight brand system pushed me to find new ways to express personality—showing that even the most structured projects can carry warmth and soul when approached thoughtfully.
